WOW not long now until Christmas, but don’t let that freak you out. Come along to the Parade Hotel and enjoy an afternoon with the South West Blues Club. Come and play or just listen. You will be among friends at that largest blues jam in WA. Nothing will guarantee a less stressful end to the year than an afternoon at the edge of Koombana Bay, with a cold drink in hand, with friends, in the Spring sunshine and some of the best blues you are going to hear anywhere. We are hoping to be out on the deck with our next jam, all things being equal. The start of the warmer weather means we can get outdoors with our live music. Come on down and support local musicians, spend an afternoon with a cold drink, close friends and hear some great music. We guarantee a good time.

Jam day Parade Hotel – 20 Sep 2020

Well what a monster day our last Jam was. It’s more of the same in September. Please get to the venue early as Covid restrictions mean that all patrons must be seated and you may miss out. If you are there to play then please follow the directions of the Stage Manager and take a careful note of our performance rules. There was a huge turnout of musicians and music lovers soaking up an afternoon of wall to wall music. See you Parade next month for the South West’s biggest monthly musical event. There’s nowhere else you are going to go to hear this much talent all in one place at one time.

Now don’t go getting to settled in. The next Jam Session will be a ripper. We have the AGM at midday and all South West Blues Club members are invited to attend. There will be light snacks provided just to whet your appetite. All committee positions will be vacated so if you would like to join in the fun then come along. The club is humming with so many good people and there is so much more to do. Mark this in your calendar… it will be one heck of a day.

The June Jam Session broke the long Covid drought and the turn out was spectacular. The River Room was alive, we had a record number of new musicians and it was a smashing afternoon in the sun overlooking Koombana Bay. This may be the last Jam with restrictions on numbers so please get a seat early to avoid disappointment. Bring a friend and enjoy an afternoon of great music and hospitality.

It’s all go folks. The first Post Covid Jam Session will happen this month so dust off those instruments and get your booty to the Parade Hotel for a good old fashioned afternoon of fun. We are in the River Room and there is a restriction on numbers so get there early to avoid disappointment because there are no bookings. There are some rules to keep you safe so please comply these. Let’s get behind the Parade who have done it tough over the last few months and have worked so hard to get our jams up and running again. See you there.

Jam at the Beer Farm – 21 Mar 2020

Hard on the heels of our monthly Parade Jam Day comes another monumental get together and jam session down at the Beerfarm in Metricup. It is so good to be back at this venue after all this time. The last jam we had here was well attended and why not, it is such a great spot set in the heart of Metricup’s beautiful farmland. Bring a friend and make a day of it. It will be fun and all for a good cause.

If you didn’t guess it, then our last jam was our biggest turnout yet and they just keep getting bigger and better. It is so good seeing new people turning up, new musicians, young and old, newbies and hardened professionals. This is the largest regular music event in the South West. Make the most of these wonderful warm summer days, come and play or just to listen. Dust off that guitar, ukulele, or whatever, warm up those vocal cords and come on down to find out if this is for you…no pressure, but you will have fun.

SWBC Event – Live at the Parade Unb’rocken, 22 Feb 2020

This band is the latest sensation from Bali. On their first tour offshore they have been impressing crowds all over Australia. Now they make it to Bunbury for a big night with two of the South West Blues Club bands at the Parade Hotel. These boys are rising stars so best you get along so you can say you were there.

Fire Aid Fundraiser 1 Feb 2020

Our big February kicks off on the first Saturday at The Graham Bricknell Music Shell in Bunbury. From 3pm onward through to 10pm a number of top local bands and acts are playing in a music extravaganza and South West Blues Club bands will be a big part of the mix. Please come on down, support the cause and help Australians in their hour of need. All this and have a great day out.
