CHRIS MAWER (blues) Grindin', jumpin', hollerin', blues. Chris Mawer is one of the premier talents in modern day blues music, has performed at major events and festivals around the world, has shuffled through cities, remote areas, promoting his unique blend of blues, jump and swing. Chris has had an interesting and colourful music career spanning well over a decade, and has performed, recorded and toured extensively
with many Australian and International blues acts. Independently released, 'one way ticket' is the second album from Chris Mawer and features some new uptempo blues and swing tunes as well as some blues favourites. Chris' music has been influenced by such greats as Albert King, Howlin' Wolf, Willie Dixon, Ray Charles and other greats of the style and you can catch him turning his hand to many different instruments, having played professionally on drums, guitars, as a vocalist and most at home on upright and
electric basses. This allows Chris great scope as a band leader and arranger/producer. In recent years, he's also spent some time producing works for some other top line Australian talents, and recently founded his own record label for the projects.

On this tour, Chris teams up with WA piano player SIMON COX. With several award nominations this year, Simon has a huge voice and is a successful songwriter, having recorded with many artists as well as putting out his own work for live shows, television and film. He has a great soul voice and matched with Angus Diggs on the drums and Bob Patient on Organ this will be a great blues show not to be misssed
