Previous Guests of SWBC
Julys guests at the South West Blues Club are The Joe Kings.
The Joe Kings are a highly acclaimed act, so much Perth blues legend Ric Steele (father of both Luke from Empire of the Sun and Katy of Little Birdy, what genes!!!) said:
“Watch out for these guys, they have a huge future ahead of them… they're really going places."
Having two kids at the top of the Australian music tree he would have some idea!
People that have seen them have raved about them and this year were the winners of the 2010 WAMI Award 'Favourite Newcomer Artist', and Nominated for 'Most Promising New Act'
The Joe Kings are a young act with an average age under 20, and features
none other then ex Homebrew drummer Ryan Brewer. They are considered
one if the hottest young bands in the state at the moment, and have been compared
to American blues/rock act The Black Keys.
This is a band not to be missed so come along and see a great up and coming act and support your local blues club down at the Elliot St bar first Friday in July.
Supported by Homebrew, doors open at 7.30 see you all at the club.
Members: $10.00
Non-Members: $15.00
