Sunday it is all on again with three fabulous acts. This is more than just great music it is the perfect end to the weekend. The weather is great for relaxing beside the water and watching the sun go down. This just isn’t a better venue in Bunbury and we are spicing it up Southern Style. See you Sunday.
Round two for this year is looming large. We are still getting big numbers to the jam so please get down there early and get your name on the board. You WILL get a chance to play, simply talk to one of our committee members on the day if you are not sure how to make it happen. These are the best days of summer and an afternoon on the edge of the bay, sipping a cold drink and listening to great music is something you just don’t want to miss. We are also still looking for volunteers to help with our jams so please if you would like to help out, let us know. See you there.
South West Blues Club is proud to announce its involvement in The Parade Hotel’s Blues on the Bay monthly Sunday session. The very first of these will be this coming Sunday at 4pm and will feature three of our great Bluesmen. Relax at the waters edge with a cold ale, spicy Southern Style food and the sound of blues hanging in the breeze. This will be as close as you can get to a New Orleans style experience. Come on down and support the club and what we hope will be a great ongoing monthly event.
We are putting 2020 behind us and welcoming in a brand new year with, all the pomp and ceremony it deserves. Join us for a fun afternoon of music and camaraderie at Bunbury’s most spectacular waterside hotel. Grab your musical instrument and show us what you’ve got or just relax and enjoy the music with a cool drink. Start the year in good spirit, with friends listening to live music.
Whatever your plans for Christmas, you will be getting things on the right foot if you spend an afternoon with us kicking back, a cold drink in hand listening to some darn good live music. It may have been a shoddy year but we are going to finish it the right way. We have a whopper hamper to raffle so some lucky punter will find Christmas comes early. Bring your friends and instruments and relax at the water’s edge. It is going to be a smashing good day.
WOW not long now until Christmas, but don’t let that freak you out. Come along to the Parade Hotel and enjoy an afternoon with the South West Blues Club. Come and play or just listen. You will be among friends at that largest blues jam in WA. Nothing will guarantee a less stressful end to the year than an afternoon at the edge of Koombana Bay, with a cold drink in hand, with friends, in the Spring sunshine and some of the best blues you are going to hear anywhere. See you there.
We are hoping to be out on the deck with our next jam, all things being equal. The start of the warmer weather means we can get outdoors with our live music. Come on down and support local musicians, spend an afternoon with a cold drink, close friends and hear some great music. We guarantee a good time.
Well what a monster day our last Jam was. It’s more of the same in September. Please get to the venue early as Covid restrictions mean that all patrons must be seated and you may miss out. If you are there to play then please follow the directions of the Stage Manager and take a careful note of our performance rules. There was a huge turnout of musicians and music lovers soaking up an afternoon of wall to wall music. See you Parade next month for the South West’s biggest monthly musical event. There’s nowhere else you are going to go to hear this much talent all in one place at one time.
Now don’t go getting to settled in. The next Jam Session will be a ripper. We have the AGM at midday and all South West Blues Club members are invited to attend. There will be light snacks provided just to whet your appetite. All committee positions will be vacated so if you would like to join in the fun then come along. The club is humming with so many good people and there is so much more to do. Mark this in your calendar… it will be one heck of a day.
The June Jam Session broke the long Covid drought and the turn out was spectacular. The River Room was alive, we had a record number of new musicians and it was a smashing afternoon in the sun overlooking Koombana Bay. This may be the last Jam with restrictions on numbers so please get a seat early to avoid disappointment. Bring a friend and enjoy an afternoon of great music and hospitality.
