Blues Central at Froth – 8 Sep 2024
Redhouse is a Perth band that is currently rattling the windows of many of the more salubrious music venues in both town and country. Having recently played at The Ellington Jazz Club, Perth Blues Club, the Gaysby Skyline and the Australia, they also have a slot booked at this year’s Gidgestock Music Festival. The band features Alex Mears on guitar and the unmistakable voice of Gabby Okas. Get down the Blues Central on Sunday 8th September for another dose of quality blues. Also on debut will be The Recliners to take the afternoon to a close. See you there.
Jam day at Froth: 18 Aug 24
It’s only a matter of days until Jam Day, so it’s time to dust off and tune your musical instruments and practice a few riffs. Don’t forget to bring your club membership key ring so that you can score a discount for food and drinks. Whether you play or just want to listen, we’d love to see your at Froth 1pm on Sunday the 18th. Join in the fun at Western Australia’s biggest regular monthly jam.
Blues Central at Froth – 11 Aug 2024
WOW, time flies! The good news is, the August Blues Central is just a week away. We have for the first time Low Down, a newly formed Perth Band consisting of some old hands. This fab five promise us an afternoon of soulful rhythms and electrifying melodies, blending the best of Chicago and West Coast swing blues with a touch of Memphis soul. Hard on their heals comes SWBC band Old School, led by one of the club’s most seasoned bluesman, Neil Broad. For the diehard blues purists this will be an afternoon you are going to love. The weekend is fast approaching and the July Jam Session is just the medicine for those chilly winter Sunday’s. Come and hang out in the warmth of Bunbury’s best music venue. Blues Central at Froth – 14 Jul 2024
Are you ready for a monster Sunday. Two fabulous bands – Empire Blues and the MDV Band on stage at Blues Central. Andrew McIlroy leads the charge for Empire Blues. Andrew was on stage at Charles Street only a fortnight ago playing at State Wide Blues, as well as packing in a tour with the amazing Michael Vdelli. Where he gets the time we have no idea but Sunday he plays alongside Al Dawson on bass and Frank Shinall on drums. Then its a quick fire change over and the MDV Band debuts with the highly talented partnership, Marisa and Mark De Vattimo suported by Jesse Shortis on drums and Tara Spencer on bass. There are many who have waited to see and hear MDV and it all happens Sunday 14 July at 1pm Froth Craft Bunbrewery – in Bunbury. See you there.
Statewide Blues @ the Perth Blues Club
If you can make it to Perth for this show it is going to be a cracker. Smokin’ Joe are representing South West Blues Club at the first ever combined Night of Blues with Perth Blues Club, Albany Blues Club and South West Blues Club.

We are half way through the year already and to celebrate the solstice so we have elected to throw one enormous blowout. We are treating you all to the extraordinary and hugely talented Matty T Wall. This blues journeyman is proudly a product of WA and one of the states most talented guitarists. This will be a big afternoon, Matty has a huge following, with one of the club’s favourite bands, Jimmy & The Survivors, to take the afternoon out.
