Saturday 1 August. Gull and Anchor on the Bunbury Waterfront. The South West Blues Club turns twenty and we’re celebrating it properly — with a 3-course formal dinner, door prizes and later in the evening, live music from Howling Onshore to close the night out in style.

That means you. Whether you’ve been in the crowd, on the stage, behind the scenes or just someone who loves live music in this town — this invite is open. No membership required. Just come.

It’s a night to sit down, eat well, catch up with old friends, meet some new ones and raise a glass to twenty years of keeping the blues alive in Bunbury.

The July Jam Session is coming up next Sunday at Froth and we want to see you there — whether you’re picking up an instrument, stepping up to a mic, or just coming along for a great afternoon of live music and cold drinks.

New faces are always welcome. Backline and amps are provided — just bring your instrument, your voice, or yourself. Impromptu groups, first-timers, seasoned players — all of it belongs at a jam day.

And don’t forget the club raffle — three chances to win a meat pack, a coffee hamper or a bottle of wine.

We know some of you have been waiting on news, and we’re thrilled to be able to tell you — the South West Blues Club 20th Anniversary Dinner is going ahead, at the Gull and Anchor right here in Bunbury.

To everyone who bought a ticket, spread the word, shared the posts and tagged their friends — thank you. Your support is exactly why this night is happening.

Same night. Same food. Same great company. New venue.

This is our 20th Anniversary Dinner, and we want everyone there. Current members, past members, partners, bandmates, fans, supporters, people who’ve shared a stage with us, people who’ve just shared a beer with us. If the South West Blues Club has ever meant something to you, this night is for you.

It’s a formal dinner — but let’s be honest, we’re musicians. Formal around here means whatever you want it to mean. Black tie? Absolutely. Best jeans and Converse? You’re in. Leather jacket as your best jacket? We’d expect nothing less. Channel your inner Jake and Elwood. Rock the Murph and the Magic Tones look. Come as you are — just come dressed like the occasion matters, because it does.
